Mise-o-jeu Prédictions

Rules

Mise-o-jeu Prédictions is governed by the REGULATION RESPECTING FORECAST CONTESTS AND NUMBERS GAMES, which includes limitation of liability.

  1. For each selection, predict the outcome of all matches of the applicable List before the closing time of bets indicated on said List by marking beside the match number attributed to it on the applicable List the box that corresponds to your prediction: winner = visiting team (VIS) or winner = home team (REC).
  2. Winning selection(s): A winning selection is determined by having, based on the official results issued by Loto-Québec, the greatest number of exact predictions or the second greatest number of exact predictions among all valid selections registered for a given List.
  3. The outcome of a match is determined based on whether the match is completed or is deemed to be completed. For all sports offered, a match is completed if the two teams have started the match and if the match is completed, at the latest, by noon the day after the end of the period covered by the applicable List ("the time limit"). In such a case, it is the final score based on the official results issued by Loto-Québec that determines the outcome of the match, including overtime play and shootout, if applicable.
  4. For the sports listed below, a game is deemed to have been completed if both teams have started the match and if, at the time limit, have been completed at least:

    • in hockey and football: 55 minutes of the match;
    • in professional basketball: 43 minutes of the match;
    • in college or Olympic basketball: 35 minutes of the match;
    • in soccer: 85 minutes of the match.

    The outcome of a match that is deemed to have been completed is determined by the score of that match at "the time limit" according to Loto-Québec's official results.

    In baseball, a match is deemed to have been completed if the two opponents have started the match and if at least 5 innings have been completed (4 ½ if the home team is leading) before "the time limit". The outcome of a match that is deemed to have been completed is determined by the score of that match at the end of the last completed inning, except if the home team takes the lead in the incomplete inning. In the latter case, the outcome of the match is determined by the score at the time it is stopped.

    In the event that the outcome of a match determined in accordance with the aforementioned is a tie, the following rules apply:

    (i)    The team identified by an asterisk (*) on the applicable List is deemed to be the        winner.
    (ii)    If no team is thus identified, the visiting team (VIS) is deemed to be the winner.

    Any match not played to completion or deemed to have been played to completion by virtue of the aforementioned is deemed to be incomplete. In the event that a match is cancelled or incomplete, all predictions on that match are deemed to be accurate.

  5. In baseball, when a doubleheader is part of Loto-Québec's List, the first match of Loto‑Québec's List always refers to the first match started. Likewise, when only one match of a doubleheader is part of Loto-Québec's List, this match refers to the first match started, whether it is a rescheduled or regularly scheduled match.

  6. In the event that a match listed in the applicable List starts before the closing time of bets, any selection registered after the actual start of that match is void and the participant is only entitled to a refund of the amount wagered on that selection.

  7. Loto-Québec determines, from time to time, a prize structure available upon request. The amount of each Mise-o-jeu Prédictions prize is calculated in accordance with the prize structure then in force.

  8. Loto-Québec will automatically cancel any selection regarding a List if fewer than 9 matches listed in said List are completed or are deemed to be completed. In that case, the participant is only entitled to a refund of the amount wagered on that selection.

  9. The outcome of a match is determined by Loto-Québec in accordance with these rules. Once Loto-Québec has determined and registered the outcome of a match into its system, Loto-Québec does not take into account protest(s) or amended results regarding this match.

  10. Loto-Québec may, at its discretion and at any time, refuse to accept bets and to issue tickets bearing any selection which it may determine.

  11. Before leaving the point of sale, check all the information on your ticket. ONLY SELECTIONS REGISTERED BY THE CENTRAL COMPUTER SYSTEM PARTICIPATE IN THE GAME.

  12. A selection can never be cancelled after the closing time of bets for the applicable List or after midnight the day of its registration.

"Mise-o-jeu Prédictions is not authorized by nor associated with any professional league nor any of its member teams."
